这是一个偶然的机会，我来到山东东营。这是我平生第一次来到这个美丽的城市。东营是我国重要的石油产业基地，她以胜利油田的崛起而蜚声海内外。在中国飞速发展的今天，东营和我国其它城市一样，到处是一片热气腾腾的景象，她依托我们的母亲河——黄河这条中华巨龙，更彰显了她的伟岸与博大，兴旺与生机。而世界最著名的黄河入海口，也就在这距市区百余里的地方，这条几千年来养育中华儿女的母亲河，以她的深沉，她的豪迈，她的坦荡胸襟无憾无悔壮丽的融入了大海，融入了世界的大潮之中。
　　我们驱车在原始、蛮荒、辽阔的湿地公路上奔跑的时候;当我们站在大堤上观着黄河奔腾入海的时候；当我们嗅着长满野花、芦苇的湿地气息，当我们注视着水中野鸭追逐嬉戏的时候；那婀娜多姿的天鹅与迎风起舞的仙鹤，那一群群成行变队的大雁在浩瀚的湿地与大海的上空翱翔．．．．．．此刻，不由得使我生发出一个念头，一种奇妙的感觉，一股难以控制的冲动，它在我的周身奔涌!故此我与湿地结下了不解之缘，也由此改变了我的生活轨迹。
　　山东东营这片土地，它的辽阔、它的宁静、它的简朴、它的原始不得不使你浮想联翩，思绪纷纭，不得不使你作为中华儿女对母亲河又增添了一份更深刻的认识和爱恋。“黄河之水天上来，奔腾到海不复回。”这是人们对黄河的感性认识。多少人被壶口瀑布的喧嚣所感叹!当你站在东营，站在黄河入海口处，你便知晓这条母亲河的博大与宽广，你便真正体会到她在入海时刻所带给你的又一种巨大力量。她每年留下的不仅仅是两万亩的湿地，而是为中华儿女留下了一片又一片的盎然生机。在这新生带上，在这一片又一片的泥沙中，她又催生出新的植物，诞生出新的生灵，招来了各种珍禽鸟兽。那不仅仅是一片湿地，那是一个母亲对儿女的依恋。从无到有，从小到大，从弱到强。这不就是一部伟大的“生命的起源”一部伟大易经学说的演练吗；这不就是古老的中华民族冲出国门，走向世界的象征吗!那从世界屋脊奔流直下，被称为：四凟之宗、百泉之首，全长5464公里。她自强不息，历尽沧桑，奔腾澎湃，浩浩荡荡，以穿石之功劈重山，过谷峰，横切积石山，祁连山、贺兰山、阴山、吕梁山、太行山等巍峨的群山，横跨黄土高原、华北平原奔流于大海．．．．．．。她就是中华民族古老灿烂文化的发源地。她就是纳百川、聚千流铸炼出博大精深的中华民族的中华文化，她就是我们每个中华儿女、炎黄子孙所值得自豪和骄傲的母亲河——黄河。
　　作为一个艺术工作者，一个华夏儿女，又怎么能不用自己手中的画笔，用自己的心，去表现她、去歌唱她、去追逐她、去热爱她呢?我们要热爱我们的母亲河，我们要保护好她留给我们的湿地。表现黄河文化，我画黄河，珍爱湿地，我画湿地。不仅想让世界知道她的壮丽，汹涌澎湃，更想让世界的人们知道，母亲河她的圣洁，她对人类无私的给予。这不就是今天人类所不断在追求的那种伟大的理想——和平与爱吗？

　　The Yellow River and the Wetlands--the theme I wish to represent.
　　I came to Dong of shandong Province by chance . That was the first time I ever came to that beautiful city . It is an important oil production base of China, well-known in China and overseas for its Victory Oil Field.today,with a rapid growth of China, Dongying, just like other cities in China,presents a prosperous scene everywhere. Located by the Yellow River, our mother river, the dragon of China,it shows a grandeur and grandness, prosperity and vigor. Haikou, the entrance to the Yellow River, is also located about 100 miles east of the down town area . This mother river, which has nurtured the China,enters the sea,the waters of the world,with her depth and generosity,her magnanimousness and beauty.
　　When we were driving on the primitive, wild and broad wetland highways,when we were watching the Yellow River enter the sea at the bank, when we were smelling the breath of the wetlands with its wild flowers and reeds , when we were watching wild ducks chasing and playing with each other in the water, when we were seeing the graceful swans and dancing cranes, when we were seeing tile wild goose plying in lines across the skies above the wetlands and the sea ,I suddenly had an idea,a maglcal feeling and an irrepressible impulse,which was rushing through my whole body.My encounter with the wetlands thus began, which also changed the way of my llfe.
　　Dongying of Shandong Province evokes one's endless imagination with its broad expansion, its quietness, its simplicity and primitiveness.One will understand and love the mother river even more ." The water of the Yellow River comes from the heaven, rushing to the sea it never turns back."This is what we think about the Yellow River. So many people are amazed at the boisterousness of the Hukou Waterfall.When you stand at Dongying,at where the Yellow River enters the sea,you will know how broad and grand this mother river is,and you'll really understand the enormous force it brings to you when it runs into the sea. What it leaves us is not only 20,000 Mu of wetlands, but an endless life for the Chinese. In this new zone of life, in the sands and mud , she is nurturing new plants and creatIng new life,attracting various various valuable wildlife.Those are not only wetlands,they are the love of the mother river for her children.Standing on the wetlands,people seem to have gone back to the beginning of all beings. From nothing to something, from small size to big size, from the weak to the strong,isn't it just the history of the origin of life ?Isn't it the embodiment of the Book of Changes?Isn't it the symbol of the Chinese leaving its own country to encounter tile whole world? The Yellow River runs down from the Roof of the World,with a total length of 5464 km.Regarded as the origin of all waters,she never stops her effort,and she has gone through thick and thin. She runs and jumps, cutting through mountains,rushing over valleys and mountain peaks.She runs through the Stone Mountain,Qilian Mountain, Yin Mountain, Lvliang Mountain and Taihang Mountain. Running across Huangtu Plateau and the Northeast Plateau, it rushes into the sea. She is the origin of the magnificent and ancient culture of the Chinese. She is the profound of Chinese culture,a collection of splendid things.She is the Yellow River, the mother river that every one of us Chinese take pride in.
　　As an artist, a Chinese, how can I not represent her, sing for her, depict her and love her, with my painting brush and my heart? We will love our mother river; we will protect the wetlands the mother river gave us.To represent the culture of the Yellow River,I paint the Yellow River.To show my love for the wetlands,hence I paint the wetlands. Not only do I wish to show her grandeur to the whole world, I also wish to tell the whole whole world about the purity and divinity of our mother river,and her selfless benefaction to men.Isn't this peace and love-the great ideal that men have always been pursuing?
